It is reported that 100,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were donated by Greece, 650,400 by Poland and 46,000 by Lithuania.

“Part of the vaccine from these supplies will be used to vaccinate those who should receive second dose of AstraZeneca, the rest will be distributed between vaccination centers and vaccination points“, – the message says.

AstraZeneca is a COVID-19 vector vaccine manufactured in the EU, UK, South Korea and India. The European one is called Vaxzevria, the Korean one is AstraZeneca-SKBio, the Indian one is Covishield.

AstraZeneca vaccines produced at different sites, are interchangeable… If you received the first vaccine with a vaccine from one manufacturer, then the second dose can be obtained with the same vaccine from any other country of manufacture.

According to preliminary data from a study conducted in April – June 2021 in the UK, AstraZeneca vaccine with efficiency 92% prevents hospitalization and death from disease caused by the dangerous new Delta strain.
