Norway renounces AstraZeneca’s covid vaccine and suspends Johnson & Johnson’s. Prime Minister Erna Solberg has announced the definitive renunciation of the use of AstraZeneca in her vaccination campaign against the coronavirus on the basis of the recommendations of the experts of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (Fhi), in favor of excluding the Anglo-Swedish product from the campaign and also that of Johnson & Johnson due to rare serious side effects.
Norway suspended the use of AstraZeneca on March 11 as a precaution after 138,000 people received a first dose. As for Johnson & Johnson, the use remains suspended but the product has not been excluded from the vaccination campaign at the moment.
