Hugo López-Gatell Ramírez, Undersecretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, reported on Monday that the request for support made by Mexico to the United States to obtain the covid vaccine from AstraZeneca was a success.
“The negotiation has been successful,” said López-Gatell Ramírez during the evening press conference to discuss the Covid-19 pandemic.
He stressed that it will be Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), who will present the details of the negotiation on Tuesday, in El Pulso de la Salud.
“We are going to allow Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard to comment to us in detail tomorrow; he just commented on it at the meeting a little while ago, but it seems prudent to allow him, whom we thank very much for his very timely and effective intervention, to explain tomorrow about how many and when ”, he explained.
“There is going to be good news,” he added.
