Astoria Grande Cruise Liner Removes Batumi from Its Routes Following Protests

The cruise liner Astoria Grande, operated by a company from the aggressor country of the Russian Federation and carrying Russian tourists, removed the Georgian city of Batumi from its routes, where protests against the presence of Russians were held there. The agency informed about this on August 1 “Anadolu”.

“Astoria Grande removed Batumi from the list of routes after another protest in the port of Batumi. On the website of the Astoria Grande liner, Batumi disappeared from the description of routes until the end of the year. At the same time, the phrase with the promise of “magic impressions” disappeared along with Batumi. The mention of Batumi now remains only in the main slogan in the header of the website, while the points of the route indicate only the ports of the Turkish coast – Istanbul, Cesme, Amasra, Sinop, Trabzon, Ordu, Izmir, Kusadasi,” the report says.

Anadolu noted that the Astoria Grande arrived in Batumi from the Russian city of Sochi.

As of August 1 on the Astoria Grande Batumi website mentioned only on a cruise itinerary that started on July 29th and will end on August 5th.
