The image sends shivers down your spine. Millions of dead and decomposing fish have clogged a large section of a river in remote southeastern Australia hit by a severe heatwave. We expect in this remote corner up to 41° this Saturday. The New South Wales state government reported that “millions” fish died in the Darling River near the village of Menindee, the third mass extinction in the area since 2018.
