Aston Villa is looking to build on its quick start to the summer transfer window by signing Metz midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, according to a journalist.
Villa has already insured Norwich’s Emiliano Buendia for a fee believed to be around £ 33 million.. They have also expressed interest in James Ward-Prowse of Southampton, although the South Coast club has reportedly rejected this.
Their early recruitment shows no signs of abating, with RMC Sport’s Joris Crolbois stating that they have set their sights on Sarr.
Crolbois revealed on Twitter that the Midlands team is the most “enterprising” club to sign the 18-year-old. However, “other European clubs are also interested.”
He also estimated that the teenager would have an approximate price of between 25 and 30 million euros.
The Senegalese looks like a promising talent for the future. He can play later in the center of the park, as well as his usual defensive midfield role.
His ability to do so is evident in the four goals he made with in 25 appearances in all competitions for Metz in 2020/21.
The demand for the young man is understandably high. Manchester United have previously been linked, Y Other reports have also named Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle in relation to him..

Dean Smith is also looking to strengthen his side up and has reportedly identified Chris Wood as a target.
They face competition from West Ham, who are also looking for a new striker. The Hammers have yet to replace Sebastien Haller after his departure to Ajax in January.

The Daily Mirror has reported that both sides are looking at Wood, who scored 12 of Burnley’s 33 goals in 2020/21.
Smith apparently feels the New Zealand international would provide a good endorsement for main man Ollie Watkins.
