Aston Martin has unveiled the new official medical car for Formula 1 racing. They became the 707-horsepower crossover DBX707. About it told on the PistonHeads website.
Formula 1 racing sometimes has serious accidents that require a quick response. That is why ambulances often become very fast cars.
This season of the championship will involve one of the fastest crossovers in the world – Aston Martin DBX707. He received some improvements, including a flashing beacon mounted on the roof.
The crossover is finished in Aston Martin Racing team colors. It will deliver medical personnel to the accident sites who will be able to provide medical assistance to injured pilots.
Fire extinguishers, medical bags and a defibrillator were placed in the crossover. It also features FIA-approved racing seats, each with six-point harnesses.
Previously, standard Aston Martin DBX crossovers were used in Formula 1 championships. They are now passing that honor on to a faster modification.
Aston Martin said it was actively looking into how the medical DBX performed. Thanks to this, the new model will be able to cope with its tasks even better.
The new crossover will join the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition safety car. He appears on the race track when dangerous situations arise.
Note that the Aston Martin DBX707 is equipped with a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine with a capacity of 707 hp. and 900 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h.
