Aston Martin is celebrating success this year. In the first half of the year, it recorded a significant increase in sales and also announced better financial results. And it’s mainly due to a single model: the DBX SUV.
The British manufacturer delivered a total of 2,901 vehicles in the first half of 2021, which is an increase of 2,006 cars compared to the same period in 2020 (it sold 895 cars), ie a breathtaking 224%. Given that virtually all car manufacturers in the world sold little last year, this is a bit of skewed information. Even so, this is a really big increase, in which the model has the largest share Aston Martin DBX, so now so many fashionable SUVs.
It is probably no surprise that DBX became the brand ‘s best – selling model after its introduction (after all, as with all other brands, which followed a similar path), with 1,500 cars delivered in the first half of this year. The popularity of Aston Martin models in China also plays a large part in this.
Aston Martin’s total revenues totaled £ 274 million in the first half of 2021 ($ 8.2 billion). The Financial Times reports that it is more than five times higher than last year. In addition, losses before tax decreased from 117 million pounds (in terms of 3.5 billion crowns) in 2020 to 48 million pounds (in terms of 1.43 billion crowns) in the three months to June. And certainly the fact that Aston Martin sells more expensive cars by up to 25% is also to blame. The average price of one new car is now 151 thousand pounds, which is just over 4.5 million crowns.
Aston Martin CEO Lawrence Stroll said: “The demand for our products, the model range, but also the quality of the team we have, gives me great confidence in our continued success.” a car that sells really well.
By the way, record sales are announced by other exclusive brands led by Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche and Rolls-Royce.
