Aston Martin introduces a new boot car for F1, Mercedes only pushes out half

Already on March 26, the Aston Martin Vantage will take part in the Formula 1 race for the first time in the role of the introductory car, the so-called safety car.

Like the Aston Martin DBX SUV for paramedics, it has a traditional green paint color with lighter accessories and the necessary equipment, especially when it comes to lighting elements. The cars also have racing seats with six-point belts, a communication system and other safety equipment.

In the case of the Vantage coupe, the output of the eight-cylinder four-liter with two turbochargers was increased by 25 horsepower to 535 horsepower. With 685 newton meters of maximum torque, acceleration from zero to 100 km / h is a matter of 3.5 seconds. The suspension is also specially tuned. The DBX has the same engine, but with standard 542 horses.

If there are no unforeseen events at the moment, the English duo should alternate with the Mercedes at the race weekend. Just like last season, the Stuttgart carmaker will use the GT R as a boot car, and paramedics will use the C 63 S station wagon.

Mercedes have a red color in the new season due to a new sponsor, but black monoposts are not affected.

The four-liter eight-cylinder from the AMG workshops will thus appear in all four cars. The GT R has 585 horsepower and the C 63 S has 510 horsepower.

Captures the new red color. While last season the brand paid tribute to Ferrari and their 1000th race in the queen of motorsport, it is currently a symbol of partnership with Crowd Strike.
