Less than a month before the premiere of “No time to Die”, a peculiar Aston Martin DB5 is exhibited in London as an aperitif for fans of the saga and with the idea of celebrating the return of the iconic model to the big screen.
Let us remember that the sports classic, which will have a role in this new installment, debuted in 1964 in James Bond against Goldfinger, and surprised everyone with its gadgets: built-in machine guns, ejection seat, bulletproof shield, interchangeable license plates, GPS, etc.
Therefore, it did not involve when in 1965 Corgi released a replica scale that ended up being the ‘Toy of the Year’ in the United Kingdom, with more than 20 million units worldwide.
Well, now, to celebrate the release of a new movie and to remember that toy, Aston Martin and Corgi put up a life-size model of the DB5 wrapped in a toy box – which measures 5.66 meters long, 2.7 meters high and 2.7 meters deep-.
Thus, the British firm also takes advantage of remembering that only 25 copies of the DB5 Goldfinger Continuation will be manufactured, a special edition of the model that will pay tribute to that film starring Sean Connery and that, as in the film, will have very special equipment.
