Aston Martin celebrates “No time to Die” with DBS and V8 Vantage

The story ofAston Martin and of James Bond has been intimately linked for years. To highlight its participation in “No Time to Die”, Aston Martin is launching a special and limited edition 007 for the DBS and V8 Vantage.

Tradition obliges, Aston Martin will be featured in the 25th film in the James Bond series when it releases next November. To underline this long and fruitful partnership, the English manufacturer unveils a new special edition 007 for the DBS Superleggera and V8 Vantage 2021. Production will begin in the first months of 2021, and, of course, the quantity available will be limited to a few copies for each model.

The inspiration for the V8 Vantage comes directly from the past with, in memory, the V8 seen in “The Living Daylight” of 1987. The legendary car will also be alongside the mythical DB5 for a brief moment in the new film. The whole V8 Vantage is revisited to highlight the affiliation with its ancestors. The most original element is without a doubt the option of a ski rack and skis arranged in yellow. The dominant paintwork in Cumberland Gray contrasts with the yellow accents of the body. To increase the uniqueness of the vehicle, note the central finish of the chainmail grille, while the surround is chrome.

Inside, the show continues with full black leather cover, 007 commemorative appliques as well as visors and a gear lever knob embossed with the numbers 96.60, a reference to the radio frequency used. not the Russian police in the 1987 film. Still in the optics of the spectacle, in the central console, there is even a laser-engraved plate which imitates a control panel. In the case of the V8 Vantage, production will be restricted to just 100 units at a price of around $ 275,000.

If the Vantage isn’t exclusive enough, Aston Martin also offers a DBS Superleggera on the same theme. Interestingly, it will be, apart from a few details and gadgets, identical to the car that will star in “No Time to Die”. Aston Martin does not skimp on the finish. The ceramic gray paint covers most of the body, while the carbon fiber roof adopts a black tint. Carbon fiber is also found in the manufacture of the mirror housings, sills and, of course, the imposing rear diffuser. In the case of the DBS Superleggera, we are talking about a smaller production of only 25 copies and an outrageous price of over $ 400,000.
