There are those who have marked it on the calendar, the appointment with the flowering of flax, in the first ten days of June.
But this year nature surprises: in Astino, among orchards and vines, there is already a blue-lilac explosion. It is good for those interested to anticipate the visit so as not to miss the spectacle of nature. And of the man, who patiently worked the land over the years tired from intensive cultivation and who re-sowed it, with the new essence (actually in the past there were flax crops in the province). The project is by the National Linificio and Canapificio of Villa d’Almè, born in the fields made available by the Misericordia Maggiore Foundation with the “Lorenzo Rota” botanical garden and the Parco dei Colli di Bergamo.
