Inauguration tomorrow morning at 10
Everything is ready for the inauguration which will be held tomorrow morning, Saturday, in Corso Alessandria 271 where the first covered Farmer’s Market in Campagna Amica has been set up with the Enoteca Amica attached.
A new store of the Coldiretti brand that aims to shorten the supply chain between producers and consumers as much as possible in order to give the maximum guarantees of genuineness and seasonality to buyers and the maximum possible income to farmers.
Almost one thousand square meters of indoor parking
The new store is spread over an area of 1500 square meters with 900 square meters indoors and a convenient internal parking.
Not everything is intended for sale: a multifunctional room is also available for conferences and thematic events.
100 farmers in rotation to sales
There are about a hundred agricultural entrepreneurs involved in the operation of the new structure in Corso Alessandria to offer Asti citizens a complete basket of local products: from bread to meat, from fruit to vegetables, from milk to cheeses, from honey to many gastronomic products and many processed in addition to fish supplied by a cooperative of fishermen of Portofino.
The same philosophy that led to the inauguration, a few weeks ago, of the Campagna Amica market in the central Piazza Alfieri, in the pedestrianized part, under the arcades of Cocchi.
In the covered farmers’ market there is talk of a thousand references available to consumers.
With an absolute Italian novelty: the Enoteca Amica which presents, alone, over 400 ethics of local wines.
The director Diego Furia
–
“A fruit of our organization of doing”
«It will be a new and very rich universe of taste – underlines the director Coldiretti of Asti Diego Furia – that Coldiretti will offer to the city and to all consumers from Asti and in transit in the Asti area. We are an organization “of doing” and this will be a new tool for the territory, not only for farmers, but for all the people of Asti, or rather a place to discover the pride of Asti for good things, good people, things done well. This is another reason why in these days we are adding the #bevitalianobeviastigiano hashtag to the #mangiaitaliano hashtag, ready to open its doors in corso Alessandria and activate the online with www.enotecamica.it ».
The president Marco Reggio
–
To explain the genesis of the Covered Farmers Market is instead the same president Coldiretti Marco Reggio: “The project was born during the lockdown this spring, when the agri-food supply chain was able to avoid attacks on supermarkets thanks to the network of Campagna Amica markets .
We decided to invest in direct sales by setting up two outdoor agro-markets in Piazza Alfieri and one indoor
in corso Alessandria where we added, given the suitability of ours
province, the gem of Campagna Amica’s first ever wine shop ».
A local bet where everyone wins
A project that wants to be a bet to promote the local economy, environmental sustainability and the improvement of the quality of life of the people who go to buy from farmers.
A direct relationship with the consumer, who in this case is served comfortably in a very commercial area of the city, with a zero kilometer sale that allows many associates to stem the crisis brought about by the pandemic.
Not only direct sales but also e-commerce home delivery and pick point
Local support, strong appeal to tradition but also innovation and attentive eyes to new sales methods.
For this reason, in addition to the human contact of the classic face-to-face sale, there will be e-commerce activities of the same products, home delivery and the pick-up point that will be presented at the inauguration tomorrow morning, Saturday, starting at 10, when the sales counters are already set up.
The largest wine cellar of Asti wines
The Covered Farmer’s Market, in addition to the full basket of food and fruit and vegetables, will also present a well-stocked wine shop, with over 420 labels.
And all from Asti. One of the largest wine bars in the Asti area and, according to Coldiretti, certainly the only national example to offer so many wines from a single provincial territory. But there won’t be just wines. There will in fact be provided lists of local beers and spirits, all rigorously Made in Asti and the result of the transformation of local DOC and DOCG grapes.
And for those who cannot show up at the point of sale, the online activation of www.enotecamica.it for home purchases.
Opening hours and days
The covered Farmer’s Market in Corso Alessandria will be open on Wednesdays from 8 to 19, on Fridays from 8 to 14, and on Saturdays from 8 to 19 where about fifteen agricultural producers will turn.
The Enoteca Amica will be accessible from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 19 with an adjoining tasting room where a sommelier will guide the consumers.
For the Christmas holidays, to facilitate purchases of local excellence, special openings are planned on the Sundays of 13 and 20 December and on the Thursdays of Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
