HARIANTERBIT.com – A asteroid the size of a truck is expected to pass by Earth in one of the closest approaches ever recorded, scientists say.
NASA States that asteroid The newly discovered will fly about 3,600 kilometers (2,200 miles) over the tip of South America (AS).

“Although there are few observations, [Scout] can still predict that asteroid it will make a very close approach to Earth,” said Davide Farnocchia, an engineer from NASA who helped create Scout.
“In fact, this is one of the closest observations of a near-Earth object ever recorded.”
Launching Al Jazeera, the announcement came a few months after NASA successfully piloted a system intended to change lanes asteroid that might collide with Earth.
The asteroid that is about to pass by Earth is not the subject of the program, known as the Double Asteroid Diversion Test (DART).
