Asteroid 2021 PH27 is one of the closest objects to Planet Earth. It belongs to the Atira Group and was first discovered by Scott Sheppard.

Asteroid 2021 PH27 set a record, with its smallest major axis. Its size is 0.46 AU and the shortest orbital period is around 114 days.
If we compare the previous asteroid with 0.56 AU and 151 days belonging to 2019 LF6. While Mercury itself comes with a semi-major axis reaching 0.39 AU and an orbital period of only 88 days.
Its location close to the sun makes its perihelion rate move up to 106 km/s or 240,000 mph. Of course this is a pretty interesting comparison.
