Panaitolikos got a valuable point today (19/2) in Tripoli from Asteras (2-2) for the 23rd matchday of the Super League.
The match started at a very fast pace but over time Asteras took control of the match. But Panaitolikos was the one who found the opportunity and opened the scoring in the 42nd minute! Due to a mistake by Yablonski outside the area, Dias stole the ball, stepped into the area and executed Grammatikakis for 0-1. But Astera’s “answer” was immediate. At 45’+2′, Kaltsas took a corner and Miritelo equalized with a header at 1-1. This was the 11th goal of the Argentinian forward in the League and he caught Levi Garcia in the 2nd place of scorers.
In the second half, Asteras had the initiative and a good chance with Bartolo. Panaitolikos in the 53′ scored a goal with a turn by Karelis but it was canceled for offside after the VAR check. And in the 64th minute, Kaltsas, with the 2nd assist of the game, found Dzukanovic with a free kick, who, with another header, turned the game around for Arkades (2-1).
In the 76th minute, Panaitolikos scored again, this time with Torrejon, but this too was canceled through VAR for offside. The Agriniotes pressed and in the 91′ they managed to equalize when Oikonomou headed from a corner of Huanpi to make the final 2-2. However, at 90’+8′, Asteras missed a huge opportunity with Chaves saving the unmarked Bartolo’s shot from contact!
The referee Koumbarakis “yellowed” the Huanpi, Br. Duarte, Mladen, Goss, Lomonaco.
