The Association of Secondary Education Teachers in Lebanon wished the Minister of Education to “secure all requirements for the launch of the new school year.”
She added, “The lengthy meeting that was held last week between the Ministers of Finance and Education will be completed next week, and among the circulating and non-final ideas is that the payment of funds to the Ministry of Education be quarterly in the new academic year.”
And she continued, “We hold the Minister of Finance responsible for not disbursing funds to the Ministry of Education and teachers.”
And the association added, “There will be an upcoming meeting next week between the educational associations and the Minister of Education, and the start of registration will be announced on September 14, and the start of education on the first of next October, if the funds are secured and the teachers’ demands are met.”
