“Association of Muslim Scholars in Sidon Condemns Provocative Actions at Popular Swimming Pool”

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Sidon issued the following statement:

From here, from Sidon, the mother of the southern cities and the incubator of diversity and cooperation, the spacious city that welcomes its neighborhood, its visitors and the tourist delegations that bring it to historical, religious and cultural tourism.

From Sidon, the Arab nation, with its values, morals, customs, and families…

The city has preserved its civilizational balance, its human harmony and the unity of its social fabric. The city has preserved its civil peace and its ancient identity at the level of its social and religious families.

Some are trying to undermine the conservative, “quality, cooperative” environment that shades the city, so they resort to fishing in murky waters to provoke and slander the city’s best sheikhs and youth, whose morals and wisdom are attested near and far by the highness of their morals and the wisdom of their actions. The city’s deputies and the security services did not escape their slander, especially the municipality of Sidon, whose president stated: “Everyone has personal freedom to wear what they want to wear, but at the same time, the considerations and cultures of one city and one region differ from another.”

In order to show the truth about what happened to the popular swimming pool, some beachgoers were surprised by two scenes that are not related to the values ​​and culture of the city. The first is a hot intimate state, and the second is a semi-naked woman lying on the sand. Without the slightest regard for the privacy of the conservative city and the standards of decency and morals observed in Lebanese law.

And he insulted the two sheikhs and said to them (you are thugs)… After that, the two sheikhs left the place and asked the young men on the beach not to harm them, not as the slander is that they were pelted with stones and other things…

The Council of Scholars was surprised by the frantic and systematic media campaign targeting Sidon, its values, sheikhs and people…

This and with all the immorality, slander, and scandalous persistence, the scholars reserve their right to sue the slanderers on charges of slander and slander and disturb the social peace of the city.

And we in the Association of Muslim Scholars in Sidon placed the Mufti of Sidon and its districts, His Eminence Sheikh Salim Sousan, with the details of what happened, so His Eminence stressed the need to respect the values, the history of the city and its ancient heritage, and not to transgress the command of God Almighty…

Finally, the sheikhs emphasize the necessity of preserving the morals and values ​​of the city and its people…
