A basic rule in epidemiology is that immunizations, especially mass immunizations, should not be given during an epidemic. The reason is that it is possible to immunize people who are already infected but are still in the incubation stage of the disease.
This was stated by Assoc. Prof. Atanas Mangarov. The leader of the ABV lists in the capital’s 23rd MIR and in Varna was in Veliko Tarnovo to support the candidates for ABV MPs in the region.
Assoc. Prof. Mangarov pointed out another reason not to make immunizations during an epidemic – people who have been vaccinated and have not yet developed a strong enough immune response could also become infected and this could lead to an unforeseen interaction between the natural infection and the vaccine. .
The imposed anti-epidemic measures are meaningless and need to be removed as soon as possible in order to return to our normal way of life, Assoc. Prof. Mangarov was categorical. He reiterated that the epidemic was being used for political purposes and that it would affect the upcoming elections.
According to him, the whole instillation of fear will inevitably repel some people. “Going to the polls is no more dangerous than going to the store, getting on the bus or any other activity of our daily lives. With the difference that when you go to the polls you do something that will reflect on your life for the next few days. 4 years. In a democratic country, in which I hope we live, this is the way to change things, “said Mangarov. He called on people to vote and overcome all their prejudices so that they do not have to go out again. of protests in the streets and squares.
The high mortality from COVID-19 in our country is due to the fact that we are one of the sickest nations in the world, according to the health expert. He recalled that the average life expectancy for men is 69 years, and for women about 73 years, while in Spain and Italy this figure is 85 years. “Many people, even at a younger age have severe lung, endocrine and other diseases, and when faced with a similar infection affecting the lungs, all other organs and systems are loaded. And where there is a weak spot, they decompensate “, explained the associate professor. He reminded that Bulgaria is among the leading countries in the EU in terms of infant mortality, which is also a rather unenviable indicator.
It has already become obvious all over the world that a not very serious medical problem is being used in an ugly way and for all sorts of purposes, especially political and economic, Mangarov criticized. He gave the example that in countries where anti-epidemic measures were most leniently implemented, they were currently the best in terms of mortality – Sweden and some states such as Texas and Florida in the United States, where some measures were suspended, did not they also wore masks. There, the number of cases and the number of deaths went down. The sooner we return to our normal rhythm of life, the better it will be for us – economically, socially, psychologically, concluded Assoc. Prof. Mangarov.
Regarding the vaccination against COVID-19, he said that it was a personal decision. “These vaccines are probably good, but this has not yet been proven and should not be imposed on products that are not perfected by the rules of art for mass application or are imposed by force administrative and other measures. There are places where people are waiting to be vaccinated, and there are unspoken threats that they will otherwise lose their jobs. This is immoral and unethical. Vaccines should also be given to anyone who wants to be able to be immunized. If he is not sure if he should or should not, consult a doctor. All people with concomitant diseases and those who may have a more severe infection could be vaccinated, but each case must be assessed individually, “said Assoc. Prof. Mangarov. He clarified that he had not been vaccinated because he had antibodies and a person who had encountered the virus did not need to be immunized, although he could do so if he wanted to. The infectious disease specialist stressed that he did not spare the truth to anyone, although his opponents did not like it.
“The lists of PP ABV are distinguished by the fact that they always have professionalism and solid expertise. Empty talk and speaking common words in the campaign are not our trademark. That is why we have always relied on this part of the voters who think about who and how to vote in order to choose individuals, “said lawyer Nikolay Ilchev, a candidate for ABV MP for Veliko Tarnovo. He stressed that the party’s lists include proven professionals who are not looking for a comfortable and well-paid state position to continue their professional and social work.
MPs quickly forget the oath taken at the first sitting of each new parliament, which obliges them to serve the people, Ilchev criticized. “Of course, they are elected by a region and its priorities are leading in order to please the voters, but I would say that it is high time for Bulgarian politicians to start thinking a little more nationally and not to divide Bulgaria into regions. because the difference between Northern and Southern Bulgaria is visible. She is screaming. The Veliko Tarnovo region deserves a much better lobby in the legislature and the executive branch, “Nikolay Ilchev added. He called on the voters to carefully examine the candidates for MPs in all lists in order to select quality people who will represent the Bulgarian citizen and voter in the National Assembly with dignity.
