Still in the Assisi affair of the Aloisianum college investigated in Linz. As a reminder: On a language and cultural trip to Italy, more precisely to Assisi, there was apparently an attack on a female student by some students.
At least the Linz public prosecutor’s office originally initiated investigations against four students for deprivation of liberty and coercion. These four students also had to leave school and their school contracts were terminated.
The police have now also received and viewed the surveillance videos from Italy, but there is no final report on them, says Ulrike Breiteneder, spokeswoman for the Linz public prosecutor’s office.
In any case, the video should show how the girl was grabbed by the boys against her will and taken away.
There are now five accused
However, the public prosecutor’s office has expanded the investigation in the meantime. As Breiteneder confirmed to the KURIER, another boy involved is being investigated on suspicion of deprivation of liberty and coercion. “A fifth accused emerged from the victim’s interview,” says Breiteneder.
One of the accused boys is now 17, all the others are currently 16 years old. And one of them is also being investigated for another crime. The public prosecutor’s office suspects that he was also involved in National Socialist activities again.
This suspicion also emerged from the interviews with the victims and the accused, it is said. At least one screenshot was found that suggests this suspicion. Hence the investigation. It remains unclear by when a decision will be made as to whether charges will be brought in the matter, the public prosecutor’s office said on Monday.
