First of all, it’s a good pickaxe.
“I was disappointed that ASSE did not manage to recruit Ibrahim Sissoko last year, when he was free after leaving Niort. He had preferred to sign at Sochaux. His season in the Doubs confirmed that he knew how to be decisive in L2 since he scored 13 goals, delivered 5 assists. These are very correct stats and the profile of the Malian is interesting: he is a strong man, a mirror cabinet! With his physical mover, he should be a good point of support for the Greens and we can imagine that he will be complementary to Ibrahima Wadji, with the speed of the Senegalese. For Gaëtan Chrbonnier, I ask to see, but with these three attackers there, ASSE now has a real strike force.
Now it takes a 10!
On the other hand, make no mistake about it: Sissoko does not evolve at all in the register of Jean-Philippe Krasso. It does not have the same technical qualities, the same vista. It’s not a 9 and a half, but a simple 9, a pivot. And in my opinion, his arrival implies a tactical change. I think that ASSE must now review its midfield and evolve with a double pivot in front of its three-man defense, and no longer with a low point, a sentry to which Laurent Batlles added two torchbearers. I therefore hope that the club will look for a good number 10, a player capable of organizing the game, serving the two attackers and fueling the pistons. Mathieu Cafaro can evolve in this register but he now has his bearings on the right. Dylan Chambost, Victor Lobry or Benjamin Bouchouari can also fill the role, but I think ASSE must make the effort on a higher level 10. It would be a real added value, and a strong sign of its ambition. »

Watch out for the locker room…
“In terms of football, I don’t have much to say badly about the Malian striker. In Béziers, Niort and Sochaux, Ibrahim Sissoko proved that he was a real good center forward for this type of rough championship. Given their means, the Greens could not, in any case, attract much stronger to replace Jean-Philippe Krasso. Of course, we are not on the same profile. He is a less altruistic and less technical player, but, at the sports level, I have nothing to say.
His reputation is (a little) scary
At the level of the state of mind, without necessarily falling into the trap of “we say”, I still have a few points that bother me. I haven’t forgotten that a year ago, Ibrahim Sissoko demanded €100,000 a month to sign with the Greens in Ligue 2 and that he then preferred to take the money from Sochaux rather than come to Forez. In the Doubs, I could also see that the person concerned had an unenviable reputation. Some present him as “pretentious”, “disrespectful of the club”, “capable of turning a locker room upside down with his nonchalant attitude”… We will say that we cannot please everyone and that does not bode well nothing of the player he will be at Sainté. But it’s true that I also try to reassure myself by telling myself that Lucas Gourna-Douath, who knows him personally, speaks well of him. As they say, time will tell…”

To sum up
“Is Sissoko a good pickaxe for ASSE? “, this is the question of our debate of the week … Laurent Hess is rather confident about the future contribution of the attacker, but Alexandre Corboz is skeptical about his state of mind, sometimes decried at Sochaux.
