The palm oil industry audit initiated by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is currently underway. Luhut warned local policy makers not to play with oil palm audits.
Local governments are asked to be transparent in providing data for oil palm audits. This was revealed by Luhut at the National Conference (Munas) of the Association of Indonesian Palm Oil Producing Districts (AKPSI).
“For that, I convey that I need a commitment from all the Regents and Village Heads present today so as not to try to play around after this audit is running,” said Luhut as quoted from his upload on the official Instagram @luhut.pandjaitan, Sunday (17/7). /2022).

According to him, all efforts made by the government will not produce results if there is no cohesiveness and synergy between all stakeholders.
Therefore, he appealed to all heads of palm oil producing regions who were present at the National Conference to give full support to government policies.
“That way, all of you who are present here have contributed greatly to the welfare of the community and national economic development,” concluded Luhut.
Previously, Luhut had also said the same thing at the AKPSI Coordination Meeting at the Sahid Hotel, Central Jakarta, last Thursday (7/7/2022).
At that time, he mentioned that local governments who are members of AKPSI should not accept that they are given a lubricant by various parties. Luhut asked that the palm oil audit data be provided correctly, transparently, without being covered up.
