Two Russians ended up killed in Afghanistan in an assault on the Russian embassy in Kabul. This was confirmed by the Russian International Ministry. Another 11 men and women have been hurt.
The bomber approached the entrance to the diplomatic mission in an attempt to explode. He was shot by an embassy guard. Russian media described that the incident occurred when a mission official went out of the constructing to people queuing for visas.
Russia is just one of the few nations even now present in Kabul right after the Taliban took energy in Afghanistan more than a calendar year ago. Moscow does not formally recognize the Taliban govt, but is however negotiating with them for the source of gasoline and other items.
