Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla found secret message

©

One of the Twitter users found on the official website Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is a secret encrypted message from the developers – it is presented in the form of runes. With the Assassin’s Creed subreddit, these runes have been decrypted. In addition, the decryption process was described a bit.

I managed to extract the full image, after which I began to translate. At first I tried to use the Elder Futark and another set of runes, but everything was in vain. I noticed that there was an asterisk-shaped letter. This letter is called Hagalaz and it is also in the Junior Futar. With a little help, I found out that the Vikings wrote phonetically and did not use two identical runes in a row. This changes the process of my work, otherwise I could have translated some runes incorrectly!

So Gapthrosnir (Reddit User) helped me and the translation was completed. It turns out that this is a verse from the famous Scandinavian poem “The Havamal – Sayings of the High One” (Hovamol – High Speech). It contains poems attributed to Odin. This is from stanza 77.

This is what is written in stanza 77:

Hovamol - High Speech, stanza 77
Hovamol – High Speech, stanza 77

What this may mean is unclear. Decrypting this message, users suggest that this is due to the settlement of the protagonist, which he will develop throughout the game.

The release of the game will take place at the end of the year on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
