Assassins Creed Valhalla esconde una referencia a League of Legends

It is normal that, in video game, references are made to other famous titles. We’ve seen Easter eggs before, although we didn’t expect to see League of Legends immortalized in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

The latest installment in the Assassins Creed saga has a good handful of hours of play, so the detail that we show you in this article has gone unnoticed by more than one player.

A warrior riding a boar

In the video above, you can see a powerful warrior who went to battle mounted on a wild boar, and whose name is “Bristle-bold” is mentioned. Everything seemed to indicate that he was referring to Sejuani, one of the most iconic jungle tanks of the Riot Games MOBA.

As well, This easter egg has been confirmed by the title’s narrative writer and designer, Samantha Webb, via tweet.

Apparently, Sejuani is very inspired by an important historical figure of the Roman Empire: Lucio Elio Sejano, a well-known gentleman. Some have pointed out that it would actually be a reference to this historical figure, something that has been denied with the tweet you see above.

It is normal to see references to League of Legends in other company titles (like the Rift Elusive on a certain Valorant map), although this is one of the first times we’ve encountered such a direct reference to a triple-A title outside of Riot Games.

In this Reddit thread They talk about other references to League of Legends, like the Ezreal easter egg in Runescape. In any case, and taking into account the growing success of the title in the last decade, Let’s see more companies dare to carry out this type of tribute.
