Assassin’s Creed Shadows may have been delayed, though perhaps for good reason. At first it seemed that the delay had a lot to do with the warm reception for Star Wars Outlaws. But the real culprit may be the co-op mode for the game. Yup, you read that right, Ubisoft is said to be working on co-op for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
The news comes from the famous broadcaster Tom Henderson. According to Henderson’s sources, the co-op mode (codename LEAGUE) does not have a fixed release date, although the feature would appear after the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Unfortunately, the release was pushed back due to the cancellation. However, the co-op mode would not be an addition, as it was already in development long before it was cancelled. Maybe Ubisoft really wants everything to be in order in a game with co-op? After all, Assassin’s Creed Unity also had co-op… and that game was initially riddled with bugs.
What exactly does co-op mean for the game? Henderson has less information about that. It is speculated that two players will be able to fight side by side with Naoe and Yasuke in the mode. Or maybe you can approach missions in a very special way? For example, can Yasuke be distracted while Naoe enters a castle and skewers the defenseless leader? Who knows…
In any case, it’s cool. Who would you play Assassin’s Creed Shadows with in co-op?
