A spin-off installment of the Assassin’s Creed series, Nexus, created for VR, will debut later this year. When the game’s release date was revealed, spectacular gameplay was released online.
New material from Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR has been released online, a spin-off installment of the series about hooded assassins, which is created for devices using virtual reality technology.
Most importantly, the released material (below) revealed the game’s release date, which falls on November 16 this year.
In the presented video we can see fragments of gameplay from the game in which we play the role of three characters known from the previous main installments of the series, i.e. Kassandra (AC: Odyssey), Connor (AC III) and Ezio Auditore da Firenze (AC II, Brotherhood, Revelations ), acting in various historical realities.
The dynamic gameplay shows that the protagonists will use weapons typical of themselves and their era, such as the Tomahawk ax in Connor’s case.
What’s more, in addition to assassinations and open combat, the game will also feature a parkour system with spectacular jumps straight into haystacks, characteristic of the series – which magically fully absorb the force of the fall. In addition to the typical “Assassin job”, there will also be puzzles in Nexus.
Finally, I would like to point out that there is still little information about what the plot in AC: Nexus VR will be about – whether it will be new stories expanding knowledge about the lives of the series’ characters, or perhaps known stories, but presented in a condensed form and from a different perspective.
I would like to remind you that Assassin’s Creed: Nexus VR is currently only available on Meta Quest goggles (Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 3).
