“Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Gameplay Trailer, Return to Roots, and New Features”

So I guessed right. Assassin’s Creed Mirage showed up tonight at PlayStation Showcase. Ubisoft boasted the first gameplay trailer, which confirms that Mirage returns to the roots of the series. This means a smaller map (only the 9th century city of Baghdad and its immediate surroundings), an emphasis on stealth, and less RPG elements.

“On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the brand, we felt it was the perfect opportunity to create a game that goes back to its roots in gameplay, visuals and story – so that our players feel the nostalgia and excitement of a new adventure as Basim, while immersing themselves in the vibrant golden age of Baghdad,” explains Maïté Hayet, Deputy Director of Global Communications and Strategy at Ubisof.

In the video, we follow the journey of Basim, one of the most versatile and inventive assassins in the history of the series. We have to notice news in the form of Assassin’s Focus. This allows Basim to mark and assassinate multiple targets in succession. You will also be able to rely on classic assassin tools such as throwing knives and smoke bombs. There will also be a brand new parkour component, Pole Vault.

“You can see Basim’s unique playstyle in action and the exciting assassin playground that the city of Baghdad provides for our hero. Staying true to his training, Basim generally prefers quiet movements and a discreet approach to hunting and engaging his targets.” Hayet further states that missions will be possible to fulfill in different ways.

The gameplay trailer also introduces us to a new member, Fuladh. Bloody is Rafiq and the Eagle Master of the Hidden. Along with Master Roshan, whose voice accompanies Basim throughout the trailer, he is another important figure in Basim’s journey to the Hidden. Calm, respectful, and direct, Fuladh sometimes intimidates newcomers with his wisdom, but hides a good sense of humor.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released on 10/12 this year for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
