The upcoming installment of the Assassin’s Creed series will be released a week early
Ubisoft is keeping quiet about the reasons, but it’s great news for players
Hopefully, a similar situation as with Unity will not happen again
The killer video game series Assassin’s Creed from the French publisher Ubisoft is among the most popular in the world. With each volume boasting millions of sales, it’s no wonder that further additions to the series are being watched closely. After a trio of games with the subtitles Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, which took a slightly different direction with their processing, Ubisoft intends to return to its roots in the following sequel – Mirage is not only set in the medieval Middle East, just like the first part, but it would it was also meant to simplify the gameplay.
Mirage’s release date has been pushed back a week
Specifically, the core of the game is to be centered around Baghdad, where you will race in the shoes of the assassin Basim Ibn Ishaq, already known from Valhalla. The developers promised that in Mirage they will suppress the RPG elements typical of the previous three parts and try to bring the title closer to the style of the earlier parts, which relied much more on elements of action-adventure. As far as the developers manage to capture the spirit of the first part, however, we will have to wait a while.
The good news, however, is that the wait will be shorter than originally expected. Although Ubisoft set the release date for October 12th, it has now decided to take a rather unconventional step – moving the release forward a week to October 5th. It is common for the release date of big titles to be moved in the opposite direction to give the developers more time to complete the game or debug any bugs.
Don’t overlook

What exactly leads Ubisoft to move the release date is unknown, but one of the likely explanations is the fact that this October will be quite crowded with game news – games such as Detective Pikachu Returns, Forza Motorsport, Alan Wake 2, Marvel’s are scheduled for release this month Spider-Man 2 or Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Ubisoft probably wants to compete as little as possible with other titles for players’ attention and, above all, for their money. Let’s just hope that the French manage to complete the work with everything and that a similar fiasco as in the case of Unity will not be repeated.
