Assassin’s Creed Mirage Adds Controversial Denuvo Protection in Day One Patch: Players React

It was released today on PC and the last two generations of consoles Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The first update is already available. The so-called day one patch in addition to regular fixes, interface improvements, better AI behavior and improvements to other aspects of the game adds to the PC version of Denuvo.

The addition of controversial anti-piracy protection has been noticed by players. One of them played Assassin’s Creed Mirage before the patch and reports that the performance is exactly the same, including the optimization. The prevailing opinion on the Internet is that Ubisoft did this on purpose, so as not to risk the negative reactions of players and reviewers to Denuvo before the release of the standard edition of the game.

In a review of Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, colleague Tomáš “Gelu” Otáhal wrote/said: “The return to the roots of the series was successful for the developers. They really brought back the old mechanics, but that alone is not enough for a really good game. Unfortunately, Assassin’s Creed Mirage still lacks a coherent direction and a quality script. However, after the previous long games, this is a quite pleasant game for one weekend.”
