Assassin’s Creed Mirage: A Return to Linear Gameplay with a Nod to Classic Installments

The latest three Assassin’s Creed games are all more RPG than action-adventure, with a focus on stealth that made the series famous. In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft took a step back and restored the more linear gameplay many had been asking for, while also scaling back the adventure somewhat.

It seems like there’s more to it than just the gameplay that will remind us of earlier installments of this beloved franchise, as the length of the adventure is also in the same range as the classic games.existRedditIn an AMA with narrative director Sarah Beaulieu, she talked about how long it took to finish the game: “As far as playtime goes, we’re much closer to the first AC game.

Older games are usually around 15 hours if you only focus on the story, but you can easily exceed double that if you want to do all the side quests.

We’re actually expecting a shorter and hopefully tighter game (not everything has to be maxed out), but what do you think of this?
