Assassin’s Creed gamers experience an unwanted surprise – Mercato

In an unexpected experience, last week some players encountered an unwanted ad while playing Assassin’s Creed games. This advertisement appeared suddenly and filled the screen, which sparked some dissatisfaction among players.

Players reported this announcement on the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game. The ad appeared while browsing the map screen within the game.

As soon as this matter spread, Ubisoft acknowledged the problem via its Twitter account and indicated that there was a technical error that had already been fixed. The company was intending to display an Assassin’s Creed Mirage trailer in the main menu of other Assassin’s Creed games, but a technical error caused the ad to appear when browsing within the game as well.

Some players admitted that they questioned Ubisoft’s justification and suggested that the company intentionally included the ad and claimed a technical error to dampen the backlash. The company has pledged to no longer display ads, regardless of how or why they arrive in the game.

Does this mean the end of in-game ads?
No, of course, the ads are still there and we may see them in many future games. But our hope is that more effective and fair ways will be developed to display these ads without causing any inconvenience to players.

In the end, these unexpected experiences may cause some dissatisfaction among players, and it is important that companies deal with them appropriately and learn from mistakes to ensure a satisfactory and smooth gaming experience for everyone.
