Although we only saw the release of a new part of the Assassin’s Creed series with the subtitle Mirage less than a month ago, attention is already slowly turning to the next full-fledged part. That will most likely be it title codenamed Red, which takes the player to feudal Japan. It is being developed by the Ubisoft Québec studio and should be released in the fall of next year.
Developer Pierre Boudreau, who participates in the development of the game from the position of senior writer, recently came up with interesting material. Boudreau on his profile on the platform LinkedIn posted a picture that depicts a female figure equipped with an assassin’s hood and katana. The modified logo of the Assassin’s Creed series and Japanese reality can also be seen in the background of the image.
It is therefore possible that this is the first detailed look at the main protagonist of the game. The very presence of a female protagonist was previously mentioned by well-known insider Toma Henderson, so this is not a shocking revelation. Henderson specifically claimed some time ago that we are in the game to play as a female samurai and a refugee from Africa representing a ninja. The first half of this speculation now seems to be taking on more real dimensions. However, we will probably have to wait for the official confirmation until the beginning of next year, when the official presentation of the new part should take place.
