ASRock reports declining demand for GPUs, followed by prices

Graphics card prices are up they are starting to decline in our stores as well, however, so far it is only the beginning of a long journey to the expected amounts, which should correspond to the recommended prices. We can be happy, at least, that the situation is slowly improving, although of course there is no guarantee that this is a trend and not just a small fluctuation. –

ASRock, one of the well-known AIB card manufacturers, has now reported a record profit of $ 17.88 million for the first quarter of this year, which is 37% more than at the end of the previous year and 67% more year-on-year. We can also expect that the profits of this company and similar companies will be very good in this quarter and for the rest of the year, because in the opinion of its management, GPU sales will go up in the third quarter (via Digitimes) and as for the fourth, the company did not mention it, but it is traditionally very strong.-

However, ASRock mentioned that graphics card prices are falling due to lower demand, especially from miners in China, and that Radeon graphics card shipments are set to increase in the second half of the year, resulting in increased GPU production and better substrate availability. That is exactly what AMD itself promised us before.

ASRock also says graphics cards will account for about 20 percent of revenue this quarter, half of which depends on motherboard sales. And here ASRock complained that the boards could sell much better without the shortage of both AMD and Intel processors, a situation that may not improve until the end of the year. It is a bit surprising to see Intel next to AMD, in which case we certainly do not feel such a lack of processors in our market as in the case of AMD, and it is difficult to find a model that would not be available. Of course, this does not mean that everything and everything is ideal.

It is likely that the worst is the graphics card market, and now the situation is slowly improving. This is best seen in the prices and also in the fact that graphics cards will already appear in the regular offer of retailers. So far, their prices have fallen only slightly and we still have to look for cards available in stock, rather among smaller retailers, often those whose reputation does not guarantee a problem-free purchase.
