Personal assistant name Wamenkumham Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, Yogi Arie Rukmana, were linked as intermediaries for receiving alleged gratuities reported by IPW chairman Sugeng Teguh Santoso to the KPK. Yogi said he was ready to be summoned by the KPK and would be cooperative.
“Oh yes, I have to (be cooperative). As a good citizen, I am cooperative if there is a summons against the KPK. Call me, I’ll come,” Yogi told reporters after making a police report at the National Police Bareskrim Building, South Jakarta, Wednesday (15/3/2023).
Yogi stated that he had filed a report against the chairman of Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) Sugeng Teguh Santoso for acts of defamation. The report was Yogi’s response because his name was included in the report that Sugeng made.
“Tonight because of the news about me, my name was included in Mr. STS’s reporting, yes, Mr. STS, I think that is all untrue, tonight’s meal I responded to report him for alleged defamation of my reputation,” he said.
The receipt for the report sent by Yogi is registered under number 092/3/2023/Bareskrim. Yogi accompanied by his attorney finished making a report at around 00.38 WIB.
Asked about the proof of the 7 billion transfer that Sugeng had mentioned, Yogi asked Sugeng to attach the evidence he had. He said, let the legal process answer the accusations leveled against him.
“Please just have him prove it, please, if it’s true, please later state it in law. We also have evidence as to what we state in law, so the law will explain later,” he concluded.
He also said that almost everything that Sugeng said about himself was not true. Even so, he stated that he would follow the existing legal process.
“Please, please prove it, if he can prove it, I can also prove it. Later, let the legal process answer everything, who is right who is wrong,” he added.
Chairman of Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) Sugeng previously reported Wamenkumham Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej or Eddy Hiariej to the KPK. IPW filed a complaint against alleged gratuities of Rp. 7 billion.
“So I came today to make a complaint to Dumas regarding allegations of criminal acts of corruption with the potential for alleged extortion in office, gratuities or something else. I mentioned state administrators with Deputy Minister status, I call Wamen with the initials EOSH,” said IPW Chairman Sugeng Teguh Santoso at the KPK’s Merah Putih building, South Jakarta, Tuesday (14/3/2023).
