A completely new outing in the center of Delft is the initiative of TU Delft. One escaperoom around the red planet where participants are challenged to test with technical and scientific riddles whether they are suitable as a team for the first manned space trip to Mars.
astronauts
This escape room is the result of a graduation research that looked at how an escape room can be set up within the framework of TU Delft. The theme was supposed to be: Life on an alien planet. Researchers from the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering and the European Space Agency were also involved in this to ensure that the puzzles are related to the challenges and problems astronauts actually experience on such a space journey.
birthday party
Not only adults can test their astronaut skills. From May it is also possible to celebrate a birthday party in the escape room. With an adapted version for children from 12 years old, the party group is tested on their qualities as space travelers.
Escaperoom
TU Delft Science Center (formerly Science Center Delft) stands for opening up TU Delft. Turning the university inside out, so that it can also be discovered by interested parties. Until recently, this was done with a museum at Mijnbouwstraat 120. But due to a move, the museum was forced to try this in other ways as well. A beautifully successful project is therefore the escape room with the Mission to Mars theme. This escape room was previously opened to the public in a different variant, in the Mijnbouwstraat. But with the new location on Sint Agathaplein, this room has become more extensive and more challenging. A number of puzzles and games have been added, but an English version has also been developed.
TU Delft Science Center hopes to open part of the new museum in the second quarter of 2022, with the full reopening planned for early 2024.
