ASNL eleven against nine fails to beat Amiens (1-1), coach Daniel Stendel sacked

ASNL was unable to overcome Amiens this Friday at Marcel Picot (1-1). The Picards, however, evolved to nine throughout the second half after the exclusions of Tolu (43 ‘) and Kader Bamba (45’). The Amiens opened the scoring by Mendy (15 ‘), the Nancéiens equalized by Giovanni Haag on a tripped by an opposing defender (61’). This poor performance nailed the ASNL to last place in the standings and led President Gauthier Ganaye to dismiss his trainer, Daniel Stendel. Benoit Pedretti will take over the interim before finding a new guide.

A soulless team

Everything was in place to allow ASNL to get its first victory of the season. Even if it was behind at the break, ASNL would evolve to 11 against nine throughout the second half. Patatras! The Nancéiens wasted a new golden opportunity, as in Grenoble on Tuesday. Incorrigible ASNL, without imagination and without soul, unable to find the solution in the game despite a certain goodwill oh so confused.

In addition to the technical deficiencies already glaring since the start of the season, there is a total lack of risk-taking. This young squad that is too tender and inexperienced at this level suffers from the absence of a real leader, a barometer, capable of establishing a certain tactical discipline on the playing area, while ensuring the smooth running of the collective project. Will Daniel Stendel’s departure change the face of this team?
