Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Ministry of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan-RB) prohibits the state civil apparatus (ASN) traveling outside the region and taking leave during the holiday of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on 18-22 October 2021.
The policy has been stated in the Circular Letter (SE) of the Minister of PANRB Number 13 of 2021.
“ASNs are prohibited from taking leave and leaving the area during October 18-22, 2021. The exception is maternity leave / sick leave / leave for important reasons,” wrote a statement from the PANRB Ministry quoted on the official Twitter account of Kemenpan-RB @Kemenpanrb Tuesday (12/10).
For information, the government has shifted the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Holiday 2021, which previously fell on October 19, 2021, to October 20, 2021.
Kemenpan-RB threatens to impose disciplinary sanctions for ASN who violate these rules. The Civil Service Officer (PPK) has also been instructed to do this.
In addition, Kemenpan-RB also instructed PPK to report the implementation of the Circular to the Minister of PANRB. The report can be done through www.pages.id/bananberjalananASN.
“No later than three working days from the date of the national holiday, “the statement reads.
Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform, Tjahjo Kumolo, on June 19, 2021, said that ASN was prohibited from taking leave on tight days.
He emphasized that the ban on leave for ASN on this tight day was a form of following up on President Joko Widodo’s directives who wanted all parties to focus on handling the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Don’t let Saturday be off, Sunday off, Tuesday’s religious holiday. Then all ASN will ask for Monday leave. Now this is prohibited. Just look for another day of leave,” said Tjahjo.
