World-renowned MMO player Asmongold has returned to social media after a health scare saw him abruptly ending his latest Diablo 4 Twitch stream. After a quick visit to the emergency room, the Twitch streamer has assured his fans that he’s “totally fine.”
To celebrate the highly-anticipated launch of Diablo 4, Asmongold returned to his main Twitch channel for the first time in seven months. However, not all went according to plan with this epic release and equally epic return. Asmon abruptly ended his big Diablo 4 broadcast, following up hours later with a Reddit post seemingly explaining his sudden conclusion. “If you’re one of the people who feels like this is stupid, embarrassing, or pathetic, you’re in good company because I feel the exact same way,” he said.
Through a near-six-minute video on Twitter, more details have come to light. Asmon revealed that his Reddit post wasn’t sharing the full story. In fact, his recent absence from Twitch came to light following some peculiar leg pain. Initially, his pain led him to the emergency room, and although he ended up being “totally fine,” the scare resulted in Asmongold taking a break from streaming.
According to Asmon, the Diablo 4 hype and his return to his main channel was “super stressful” but weren’t the only reasons he stopped streaming. After the leg pain, he exercised, tried to sleep it off but the pain continued through to the next morning. He then decided that further action was necessary and went to the emergency room.
Following a brief yet costly visit to his local hospital, he returned to social media to assure fans that everything was okay in the end. Asmon’s current lifestyle isn’t exactly the healthiest, and that is something he admits. He lives at a “10/10 in terms of degeneracy,” but that’s something he’s looking to change after the recent scare.
Asmon’s recent health scare also made him think about his age and how he needs to start looking after his body, saying, “I’m almost 33, that’s some f***ing bulls***,” adding, “As I get older, I’m paranoid whenever I have even the slightest discomfort.”
Despite his break, Asmongold will be back to playing Diablo 4 and streaming on Twitch. But if streams are shorter and have longer breaks, fans can rest assured that it’s just Asmon looking after himself. In light of his recent incident, Asmon has decided to dial down his lifestyle to a seven on the 10-point scale of degeneracy and promises to try and live life a little healthier.
