On January 6, on a symbolic V-day, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign for general practitioners and pediatricians of free choice started. The first six general practitioners to be vaccinated in Chivasso were Giuliano Gamba, Silvio Pane, Nicola Fabiano, Libera Frattaruolo, Valentina Tulletti and Daniela Proserpio. Also on 6 January, eight other family doctors were vaccinated at the Ciriè hospital. And now the campaign comes alive. Out of 394 general practitioners and freely chosen pediatricians, 314 expressed an interest in vaccination. The others, 20 percent, have not given their consent and therefore, at least at this stage, will not undergo the vaccination. On Saturday, 54 doctors and pediatricians will be vaccinated, a similar number on Monday. If the pace of vaccinations continues like this, the first dose will be given to all general practitioners and pediatricians of free choice who have joined the campaign during the week. The regional councilor for health Luigi Genesio Icardi, explained in the days that it was agreed to increase the subjects to be vaccinated in the coming weeks, involving all health professionals in subsequent phases, such as dentists, dentists and veterinarians, in business in the area but not operating in the structures of the regional health service.
