The Ultimate Frisbee Tournament “HallenLuft” is now in its eighth edition. New this year: Two Linz clubs will be fighting for the title next weekend.
LINZ. In 2023, the popular Ultimate Frisbee tournament “HallenLuft” will return to Linz after a two-year forced break due to Corona. On February 4th and 5th, the association Askö amPullen Linz invites you to the Auhofgymnasium (Aubrunnerweg 4) from 9 a.m. with free admission. The first edition of the trend sports tournament took place in 2013. This year, a total of twelve mixed teams from Austria and Germany will compete against each other in a fair competition for the title. Similar to American football, catching the Frisbee in the end zone scores points.
Linz derby possible
Since the defending champions from FdF Geretsried are not competing this year, the Zombees Vienna, the Styrian Hawks from Feldbach and the Mosquitos Klosterneuburg are favorites. In addition to the hosts, the pterosaurs Wels and the young Linz club Fes will also be there. The final, which takes place at 4 p.m. on the second match day, will show whether there will be a Linz derby.
