Asked by the West to Condemn Russian Invasion, Angry Pakistani PM: Are We Your Slaves?

ISLAMABAD – On March 1, the heads of 22 foreign diplomatic missions for Pakistan, including the member states of the European Union (EU) issued a joint letter to the Pakistani government.

The contents of the joint letter asked Pakistan to support the UN General Assembly (UNGA) resolution condemning Russia’s special operations in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan Imran Khan could not hide his anger at the actions of these Western countries.

He criticized Western envoys visiting his country’s capital, Islamabad, who asked Pakistan to denounce Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine last week.

PM Imran Khan asked if they thought Pakistan was their “slave”, Reuters reported on his response on Sunday (6/3/2022).

“What do you think of us? Are we your slaves…that whatever you say, we will do?” Khan firmly commented while speaking at a political event, reported by Sputnik on Monday (7/3/2022).
