The weight that fell from the heart of Chairman Behrooz Khiaban and the entire ASK Bad Vöslau was great. Thanks to the support from Langenlebarn against Eggendorf on the last day of the game, the thermal townspeople were “already” saved before the kick-off of their last game. “It was a difficult season, we had to struggle again and again with the loss of important players, who could not be compensated for overall,” the notorious injury devil was an unwelcome companion for Khiaban.
But Bad Vöslau made a virtue out of this necessity – or rather a “youth”. Because of the loss of the veterans, the next generation of ASK kickers moved up and proved that they are quite ready to initiate the changing of the guard on the Rohrwiese.
With a meager eleven points, Bad Vöslau saved themselves in the winter, everything should be better in the spring. But in the end, only four more points looked out in the second half of the season. “Unfortunately, we conceded far too many goals and sometimes didn’t win games in which we scored five ourselves,” Khiaban analyzes what the crux was. With 64 goals conceded, Bad Vöslau presented itself more like a relegated team in this category. The downside of this coin: 46 goals scored are decent – fourth-placed Stockerau only made three “buttons” more.
