The General Administration of Education in the Asir Region, represented by the Department of Health Affairs in Schools, in collaboration with the Department of Health in Schools of the Directorate-General for Health Affairs in the Region, organized a forum “Mental Health and electronic games”, in the presence of 550 supervisors, male and female health tutors and 6,000 students. The meeting aims to warn against the negative effects on the behavior of children and adolescents in terms of reflection of violent methods and negative behaviors that do not belong to our Islamic values and our Arab customs and traditions. The forum, which was hosted by family and community doctor Dr. Tamer Shiha, covered several axes, in particular: smart devices…necessity or luxury, addiction to smart devices…fact or myth, the benefits of use of smart devices, and the harms of their use, as well as rules for optimal use of smart devices. The meeting ended with an awareness video and a series of posts and speeches.
