Specifically, the dismissal of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Michalis Stavrianoudakis, as well as the Secretary of Immigration of the New Republic, Nikos Theodoropoulos, pave the way for the First Instance Prosecutor Giorgos Noulis, who is handling the investigation into the leakage of personal data, to call them as suspects!

And the Government and the Maximos Palace may be making efforts to limit the issue to the level of officials, it is not excluded that the case will take on even greater dimensions and lead to the Justice, even to the activation of the law on the responsibility of ministers, if it arises involvement of minister Nikis Kerameos!
Until now, however, the prosecutor Giorgos Noulis, who is handling the investigation, has requested specific documents from MEPs and other persons related to the case, while he has not yet called witnesses.
The preliminary examination, carried out by the Athens First Instance Prosecutor’s Office, began after the complaints of violation of personal data by Anna Michele Asimakopoulou, which related to the leakage of the emails of residents abroad that came into the possession of the ND MEP.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Athens ordered a preliminary examination in order to investigate whether criminal offenses such as the violation of the law on personal data and the violation of official secrecy have been committed.
The case became widely known after a complaint by the Department of Expatriate Hellenism of SYRIZA, according to which the personal contact details of hundreds of expatriate Greeks were leaked and found at the disposal of MEP Anna Michelle Asimakopoulou.
