On Wednesday, March 31, New York City police arrested a person suspected of violently hitting a 65 year old woman of Asian origin. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was hospitalized with the broken pelvis and multiple injuries, police said. His condition was stable on Tuesday.
The attack occurred on Monday in broad daylight in Manhattan. The footage, taken by surveillance cameras, shows a woman walking when a man approaches her, knocks her to the ground and then kicks her several kicks to the head before walking away.
Police posted the video on Twitter and called on the public to help identify the perpetrator. Residents recognized un SDF local and took the police to a hotel serving as a shelter for the homeless, where he was arrested, according to media reports.
