Asian Development Bank pulls out of TAPI pipeline

The Asian Development Bank, the main backer of the TAPI gas pipeline, has suspended its participation in the project. The regional public institution has indicated that its activities concerning the gas project, supposed to link Turkmenistan to India, would resume once the Taliban government in Afghanistan is internationally recognized by the UN General Assembly.
