The Asian Amateur Chess Championship, organized by the Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Asian Federation, will start this evening at the Bristol Hotel in Dubai. The competition will continue until the fourth of next September, with the participation of 150 players from 22 Asian countries.
The Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament invited a number of sports personalities in the General Authority for Sports, the National Olympic Committee, sports councils and chess clubs in the country, in the presence of the representative of the Asian Federation. Asian and a short video about Emirates chess, after which the competitions will be opened at the first table in the presence of the guests.
The morning period witnesses the technical meeting at the Championship Hotel in the presence of all the participating players to conduct the draw for the matches, verify the names of the players and form the appeal committee headed by Saeed Youssef.
Tarim Matar Tarim chairs the Supreme Organizing Committee, Abdul Karim Al Marzouki as his deputy, and Sultan Ali Al Taher as director of the tournament, while Saud Ali Al Ketbi and Kholoud Issa Al Zarooni are chairing the media committee as his deputy, Mahdi Abdul Rahim, Executive Director of the federation, general coordinator of the tournament, Mohamed Abdullah, technical director of the federation, technical supervisor, and Saud Mohammed Al-Marzouqi, Chairman of the Marketing Committee and Administrator of the UAE National Team.
