The executive posted on her Twitter account her disagreements with the company due to some sexist and discriminatory actions. Manzana will investigate whether the allegations about the hostile work environment are true, thus placing Ashley Gjøvik on administrative leave.
Wanted to share: #Apple employee relations confirmed this #tonepolicing is totally ok feedback for me to get from my #bigtech #male leaders & not #sexist.
As this investigation rolls on, I’ve decided to start Tweeting the stuff they say is “ok.” I mean, they did say it was ok? pic.twitter.com/EImLTjRTBl

Employees from different areas have spoken on the subject and have shared some situations within the corporate in recent months. Several women have reproached the culture of the company and in May of this year, the employees showed their union by being against the hiring of Antonio Garcia Martinez (former Facebook advertising manager).
Because García Martínez wrote a book in which he talks about Silicon Valley and describes women and people of color in an offensive way, and was singled out for having inappropriate behavior with women and people of color, for which he was fired.
So, following raising concerns to #Apple about #sexism, #hostileworkenvironment, & #unsafeworkconditions, I’m now on indefinite paid administrative leave per #Apple employee relations, while they investigate my concerns. This seems to include me not using Apple’s internal Slack.

In an interview with The Verge Ashley Gjøvik shared her concerns about Apple employees’ relationship with sexism, singling out the company for having “a hostile work environment, sexual harassment, unsafe working conditions and retaliation.”
The executive made the statement after she asked the corresponding department of this company to mitigate the hostile work environment in which they carried out the pertinent investigations, in return the senior director of the engineering program was offered therapies and medical licenses.
In addition to this, Ashley Gjøvik assured that they gave her to understand that she did not want her to have contact with other women who work in the company.
According to The Verve, the company closed a previous investigation in which it was concluded that nothing of what Gjøvik said happened, which caused the annoyance of the executive, who decided to go to Twitter to post screenshots of what she experienced .
#Apple employee relation’s 1st #sexism investigation only arose while I was complaining about unsafe work conditions and related #intimidation. They tried to quickly brush me off & prevented me from raising more concerns. This time, I gave them 558 pieces of evidence to review.
