Elevator Association, acquired “voluntary certification” from Elevator Safety Corporation
‘Review of technical documentation for EL brand lifts’ provided free of charge to small and medium-sized enterprises
[국토일보 하종숙 기자] Korea Elevator Association (Chairman Hee-in Ryu) will initiate “Elevator Model Certification Technical Document Consultancy” for elevator manufacturers in earnest from November to support small and medium-sized enterprises.
The “Consultancy on technical documents for the certification of the elevator model”, which the Lift Association has been preparing since the first half of this year, is a project promoted to reduce costs and shorten the period required by simplifying some of the certification procedures of the elevator model that small and medium-sized large elevator manufacturers have a hard time with.
Currently, elevator manufacturers and importers must receive safety certification from the Korea Elevator Safety Agency prior to shipping or customs clearance of the elevator model they wish to install. This certification takes a long period of about 90 days from the application to the issue of the final certificate, and there are many cases in which small and medium-sized enterprises have complained of difficulties due to the large amount of documents to be presented.
The Ascensor Association’s Model Certification Technical Documents Consulting is to provide small and medium-sized enterprises in the certification process that the Association recently acquired from the Corporation the gist Daeoh Precision Co., Ltd. (CEO Hong Seong -jo), an elevator manufacturer, was selected as the No. 1 for counseling and counseling activities is expected to start in November.
The elevator model, which the Elevator Association has obtained voluntary certification from Elevator Safety Corporation, is an 8 to 17-seat electric elevator model that is often installed in apartment buildings, etc. The association plans to expand the types of certification models in the future.
Furthermore, if it is necessary to certify the change of the lift model that has completed the certification, the recertification service can be obtained at a discounted price compared to the market price through a design company that has entered into an agreement with the association.
Advice on technical documents for elevator model certification can be received not only from member companies of the association, but also from small and medium-sized manufacturers running the elevator business.
